The Bugatti EB 18/4 Veyron, Volkswagen's version of a modern high-powered sports car powered by a 550-hp 18-cylinder engine. The engine is placed at mid-ship and has three banks of six cylinders in a W configuration. The name Veyron commemorates Bugatti factory driver Pierre Veyron, whose victories for Bugatti included the LeMans 24-hour race in 1939.
