The world's first ultra thin OLED-TV Sony XEL-1 was finally introduced last Oct 5. According to Japan's electronics giant's press release, this jaw dropping 3mm ultra thin with 11 inch screen enables the new level of thinness and lightweight, with improved levels of contrast, brightness, color range and response time.
Some of the Main Features of OLED-TV Sony XEL-1 include: Thinness-measuring approximately 3mm thinness (at its thinnest point) , High contrast-reproducing realistic images using exquisite shades of black with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and flexible control of color tone and gradation, High peak brightness-faithfully reproducing picture glow, Excellent color reproduction, delivering pure and vivid colors in both dark and bright images, Rapid response time-smoothly reproducing fast-moving images such as sports scenes, and low power consumption of 45 W.
Furthermore, this OLED (organic light-emitting diode) high definition TV also includes a built-in tuner, 960 x 450 resolution, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) port for the connection of any other electronic devices, Ethernet and USB port to enable the connection to a PC for streaming media, and 2 one-watt built-in speakers.
The stylish OLED-TV Sony XEL-1 is expected to be available by December of this year and will approximately cost ¥200,000 (about $1700 US).
Mmm.. a bit pricey for a TV i know.
But with all the aforementioned specs, every single cent will sure be worth it.
So… im now adding it on the growing number of my wish list.. :p
